Eason Music School recently hosted its inaugural student recital showcase at The Theatre Practice on January 14, 2024. The event featured 22 talented students, aged 5 to 18, who captivated the audience with a diverse 90-minute repertoire of Erhu, Guzheng, Pipa, and Yangqin pieces.
From beginner tunes like "Little Flower Drum" on the Erhu to advanced compositions such as "Yellow River Capriccio" on the Yangqin, the recital displayed the students' remarkable progress and dedication in their musical journey.
The day was a flurry of activity for the EM team, starting with preparations in the afternoon. As students and their families arrived, we facilitated soundchecks and rehearsals, ensuring everything was set for a seamless performance. We also provided guidance on stage etiquette, emphasizing the importance of bowing and stage presence.
At 3:30 pm, the show commenced, and the students took center stage, showcasing their talent and hard work. It was truly heartwarming to witness their musical prowess and the unwavering support of their families.
The recital not only served as a celebration of musical achievement but also as a platform for students to showcase what they have learned and to build confidence in front of an audience. Each performance was a testament to their dedication and growth, inspiring both the performers and the audience alike.
The event marked the beginning of our annual series, and we eagerly anticipate the growth and achievements of our students in the years to come.
